Nose: dill. Dirt. Vanilla cream soda. Black pepper, light green apple. Cigar smoke. Brown butter, butter cookies. Toffee and baking spices. Time in the glass reveals more herbal qualities such as mint, thyme, and rosemary with a bread quality. Almost a little sweet lemon and honey. Taste: anise, dirt, vanilla cream, heavy oak burn. Light dill. Allspice cinnamon. Light citrus and dirty cigar smoke. Finish devolves into dark chocolate coffee and mocha and a kind of aged dark red wine tannin. Water intensifies the oak, herbal, fruity and spicy aspects without ramping down the other flavors. Finish turns into a tense oak and hot pepper bomb but it never gets too unbearable.
