AnttiRG 4.5

A rich, Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Kentucky with a high-rye mash bill & aged in oak for a minimum of 4 years. It opens with an aromatic birth with notes of baking spices & sweet corn; while a rich life adds notes of caramelized bananas, corn, berries & apricot; that led to a long & warming death with notes of citrus zest, cinnamon & leather. Decent whiskey for the price. Nice brown sugar and Carmel taste upfront. The middle section is very nutty oak, finished with a strong cinnamon spice on the back end. Only dislike is I get a bit of dryness on the back of my tongue. This is a decent whiskey for the price but if it ever gets more expensive that $30 I wouldn’t buy it.

Spicy, full, complex. Starts a little medicinal with a minimal nose, but bursts into rich smokiness. The sweetness starts about halfway through, then lightens, but the burn increases. Very good, but not great... But a competitive offer to Two Stars or any basic, good Kentucky Bourbon.

Back on the app!! This is a gift for my dad and we popped it tonight. I’m kinda glad it’s his gift. It tastes/ smells young in the sense that there isn’t much sweetness on the nose or tongue. I get faint aromas of caramel, but then it is overpowered by corn grain whiskey.

Tempted to give it 5 stars just for the taste vs price. A vanilla sweetness with oak and a subtle grain flavor with some heat. A spicy peppery finish. Complex for a cheap whiskey. More than others in this price range. Definitely a go to when your wallet is thin.

Couple of rocks with a touch of water. Needs to open up a bit after you pour. This gets compared to Woodford Reserve a lot and i prefer the Woodford. Its good for under $30. I wouldnt buy it over that.
