(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual ‘Peat in the wrong place’ Whisky Tasting, 20 August 2021). Nose: Very sweet, fruit, citrus, salt. Hints of peat. Palate: Sweet, grapes, sweet white wine, nutty/oaky, dried fruit, black pepper. Finish: Long finish. Smoky, very sweet, souring on the aftertaste. Very light hints of peat. This is a great, light and sweet dram. Not overpowering peat, light and approachable but with plenty of layers to keep it interesting. Lovely. 1 of 980 bottles Special release for Father’s Day 2021 Came joint third out of the six drams, with 10% of the final vote for favourite of the night. 86% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.
