Ok yeah I know another MGP 95 sourced rye ho hum. I went in with very low expectations (I did get this bottle free from my awesome co-worker) but ended up surprised. Im not gonna run over tasting notes as mgp rye is well known and familiar with flavor in most settings. This however is more subdued. Its a softer taste without the dill and harshness. Its dare I say smoother than most of its ilk.. Not James Pepper Barrel proof good but better than some mgp siblings. I realize free whiskey always tastes better and I most likely would not purchase but nonetheless Im giving this a solid score.....74/100.......ymmv

Nice bite, easy finish. Rye dominates the mashbill. This is a very good drink for the price. Comparable to High West Double Rye.
Starts off OK but finishes a little harsh. For the price point I think there are better options out there
Smooth, smell and taste caramel. A nice sipping whiskey without anything extra
Quite possibly the worst bourbon I have ever had.
