Ingredients

2 oz Calvados apple brandy
3/4 oz Strega liqueur
1/2 oz Créole Shrubb liqueur
3/4 oz Lemon juice
2 dash Creole bitters

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare 'accoutrement' e.g. piece of chocolate or skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 Garnish with your chosen accoutrement.

History

Originally garnished with brandied cherries, Strega's chocolates seemed a more fitting accoutrement for this Calvados Sidecar/Applecart-like cocktail.

Chris Hannah created this drink in 2008. The recipe was adapted from his original at Arnaud's French 75 Bar in New Orleans, USA.
