History
A blend of sweet and sour notes, with rich apple and a brandy base.
This drink is adapted from a recipe created by the late Sasha Petraske at his renowned bar, Milk & Honey, in New York City, USA. Sasha drew inspiration from the Apple Jack Rabbit, featured in The Savoy Cocktail Book. The Apple Jack recipe appears in Georgette Moger-Petraske's 2016 book, Sasha Petraske Regarding Cocktails. The recipe calls for: Apple Jack, ½ oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice, ½ oz (15 ml) Simple syrup, and ½ oz (15 ml) Apple cider. To prepare, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, apple cider, and applejack in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until well-chilled, then strain into a chilled coupe.
