Ingredients

1 1/3 oz Gin
1/3 oz Banana liqueur
1/4 oz Fino sherry
2/3 oz Lemon juice
1/4 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of dried banana chip or fresh banana slice.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 Garnish with dried banana chip pegged to rim, or fresh banana slice on the rim.

History

This short, sharp cocktail is a Banana & Fino Sherry Gin Sour. Subtle fino and banana notes mean it is not obviously banana, though the name provides a clue.

This cocktail was adapted from a recipe created in August 2018 by Cameron Attfield at Dandelyan in London, England. It is a variation on the popular London Calling cocktail, which was created by Chris Jepson in 2002.
