1 2/3 oz Becherovka liqueur
3 1/2 oz Tonic water

History

The delicately spiced Beton is considered the national drink of the Czech Republic, serving as their answer to the Gin & Tonic.

The "Be-ton" cocktail originated for the Montreal EXPO exhibition in 1967. Its name derives from its two primary components: Becherovka and tonic water. "Beton" also translates to concrete in Czech, implying the drink's strength.
