Ingredients

3 fresh Blackberries
1 1/2 oz Cognac (brandy)
3/4 oz Bénédictine D.O.M.
2 dash Orange bitters

How to make

Serve in a nick & nora glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a NICK & NORA GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of skewered blackberry.

Method

  1. 3 MUDDLE blackberries in base of shaker.
  2. 4 Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  3. 5 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 6 Garnish with skewered blackberry.

Flavour profile

History

A late-night drink with a fruity character for quiet reflection. While consuming locally sourced beer offers a sustainable option, cocktails, with their reliance on ice and ingredients from afar, are less so. Beer may be a daily drink, but cocktails are reserved for special, luxurious occasions. The effort to protect the planet certainly merits celebration, though, in the words of Greta Thunberg, "All the promises will be nothing but blah, blah, blah..."
