History
A medium-dry, bittersweet orange flavour with a disco blue hue.
This is an adaptation of Harry Craddock's recipe from The Savoy Cocktail Book, published in 1930. His original recipe called for ¼ triple sec liqueur, ¾ vodka, and 1 dash of blue food coloring. The Blue Monday also appears in Patrick Gavin Duffy’s 1934 book, The Official Mixer’s Manual.
