History
Orange somewhat dominates the apple, yet it is a pleasingly dry, zesty, fruity combination.
This is an adaptation of a recipe found in Harry Craddock's 1930 book, The Savoy Cocktail Book. CALVADOS COCKTAIL. (Serves 6) 2 Glasses Calvados. 2 Glasses Orange Juice. 1 Glass Cointreau. 1 glass Orange Bitters. Add plenty of ice and shake carefully. A variation of the above is also listed: 3 Glasses Calvados. 3 Glasses Sweetened Lemon Juice. Shake very thoroughly and serve.
