History
This invigorating tequila cocktail features fresh orange, grapefruit, and lime juices, with a touch of salt and grapefruit soda. For a traditional Cantaritos presentation, moistening the porous clay pot's exterior enhances its look and aids in chilling the drink through evaporation.
Commonly prepared in Jalisco, Mexico, this drink is found in bars, cafés, and roadside stalls. Cantaritos are rustic, locally produced, and sustainable clay pots often used as disposable takeaway drinking vessels.
