Ingredients

1/2 oz Absinthe
2 oz Bourbon whiskey
1/2 oz White crème de cacao
1/4 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
2 dash Creole bitters

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 Fill glass with ice, POUR in absinthe, top up with water and leave the mixture to stand in the glass.
  2. 4 Separately, STIR bourbon, cacao, sugar and bitters with ice.
  3. 5 Discard contents of glass (absinthe, water and ice) and STRAIN stirred cocktail into empty absinthe-coated glass.

Garnish

  1. 6 EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and discard.
