History
The cola and lime overpower the delicate gin notes, making it hard to dislike.
The definition of a Cubata varies by region. In the UK, it is a gin-based drink that is equivalent to the light rum-based Cuba Libre. In the USA, it is a Cuba Libre made with aged or dark rum. In Spain, it is essentially any distilled spirit mixed with cola. Furthermore, in Spain, gin mixed with cola is sometimes referred to as an RAF, reportedly due to the preference of Royal Air Force servicemen stationed there.
