History
This Daiquiri has subtle orange notes, yet is far more than an Orange Daiquiri.
Constantino "Constante" Ribalaïgua Vert, owner of Havana's El Floridita from 1918 to 1952, is credited with creating this cocktail circa 1915. It is the second of four numbered daiquiris featured in the 1934 1st edition Bar La Florida Cocktails, a menu book. Daiquiri Num. 2 2 Ounces Bacardí Rum. Several Dashes Curacao. 1 Teaspoonful Orange Juice. 1 Teaspoonful Sugar. Juice of Half a Lemon. Cracked ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass.
