1 2/3 oz Gin
3/4 oz Chinato (Barolo/Barbera/Grignolino)
3 dash Creole bitters

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 Garnish with maraschino cherry.

History

This gin, Barolo Chinato and Peychaud's bitters combination is remarkably reminiscent of a Negroni.

This recipe is adapted from one created in 2015 by Adam Bernbach at Bar Pilar in Washington, D.C. Adam's original recipe specifies 75ml of gin and 22.5ml of Barolo chinato.
