History

Rich almond syrup meets delicately bittersweet undertones with a tequila charge.

This cocktail is adapted from a 2019 recipe by Tiffany Kirk at Miss Carousel bar in Houston, USA. Its name may derive from the dead man's switch, a safety mechanism designed to activate or deactivate if an operator becomes incapacitated. Also referred to as a dead man's handle, these switches were initially used in trains and other machinery but the term now encompasses various fail-safe devices and computer software.
