History

Autumnal in colour. Two vermouths and two brandies are presented in harmony.

Charles Schumann created this cocktail in Munich, Germany, in 1982. It was first published in his book American Bar. The recipe, titled "Fallen Leaves (1982)", calls for: ¾ oz vermouth rosso, ¼ oz dry vermouth, ¾ oz Calvados, Dash brandy, and Lemon peel. Stir in a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, strain into a chilled cocktail glass, twist lemon peel over drink and drop it into the glass.
