Ingredients

1/2 oz Habenero bourbon
2 oz Aromatized wine
1 oz Oloroso sherry
1 dash Orange bitters
2 drop Saline solution 4:1

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

While the name suggests aggression, this aperitivo is gentle, caressing, and only moderately strong.

This is a variation on Sean Frederick's Flintlock cocktail. In Cowboy slang, to "fix one's flint" means to settle a matter.
