Ingredients

1 pint Pilsner lager
1/2 oz Amaretto liqueur
1/2 oz White overproof rum

How to make

Serve in a boston & shot glass

Method

  1. 1 Select a BOSTON & SHOT GLASS.
  2. 2 POUR beer into Boston glass.
  3. 3 LAYER amaretto and rum in chilled shot glass by carefully pouring amaretto and then rum.
  4. 4 IGNITE the rum and carefully lift shot glass then drop (bottom first) into Boston glass. PLEASE EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION!

The name of this drink comes from its resemblance in taste to the proprietary Dr. Pepper soft drink. This beverage inspired an episode of The Simpsons where a similar drink was featured, initially called the 'Flaming Homer' and later the 'Flaming Moe'.
