History

The orange of Grand Marnier heavily influences this drink, essentially a Mimosa or Buck's Fizz with added potency.

The Mimosa originated in 1925 at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, France. The Grand Mimosa includes an addition of Grand Marnier liqueur. The distinctions between a Buck's Fizz and Mimosa, along with their historical context, are noted.
