1 1/2 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Pink grapefruit juice
1/6 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
4 drop Grapefruit bitters

A less common relative of the Salty Dog, the Greyhound's earliest known recipe appears in Stanley M. Jones' 1977 Jones' Complete Barguide. The guide lists the recipe as: GREYHOUND Tall Glass Build 1-1/2 oz vodka Fill with ice, Grapefruit juice (This is a SALTY DOG with no salt - or a TAILLESS DOG) It is described as a Salty Dog without the salt, featuring 1½ ounces of Vodka in a highball glass, filled with grapefruit juice.
