Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Rye whiskey 50% abv
1/2 oz Brown sugar syrup
1/2 oz Lemon juice
1/2 oz Orange juice
1/2 oz Pineapple juice
1/6 oz Grenadine syrup
1 dash Aromatic bitters

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry and pineapple wedge on rim.
  3. 3 Prepare garnish of skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry and pineapple wedge.

Method

  1. 4 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 5 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 6 Garnish with skewered cherry and pineapple wedge on rim.

This recipe is adapted from a version found in Shannon Mustipher's 2019 book, Tiki Modern Tropical Cocktails.

While originally prepared with a high-proof bourbon, this cocktail is preferred with the spicy notes that a bottled-in-bond rye whiskey imparts.
