History
A Sweet Manhattan variation using Scotch whisky and orange bitters.
This is a Rob Roy made with orange bitters. David Embury, in his 1948 book The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks, mentions under his Rob Roy entry, "If orange bitters are used instead of Angostura, this drink is sometimes called the Highland, or the Highland Fling, or the Express. I discovered it as the "Highlander" in 2010 on the menu of the Campbell Apartment in New York City, USA."
Also known as Highland, Highland Fling, Express
