1 2/3 oz Vanilla vodka
1 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
1/3 oz Lime juice
1/6 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry dropped into glass.
  3. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

History

Vanilla and pineapple combine harmoniously, reminiscent of Key Lime Pie without the crust.

The Neo-Martini, or Altern'atini, was brought to prominence in the summer of 2003 by the characters Carrie Bradshaw and her friends. In the television series Sex and the City, the stars of the show abandoned Cosmopolitans for this new drink, though the show's creators noted the shift was not a significant departure from their previous tastes.
