Ingredients

1 oz Triple sec
1 oz Brown/dark cacao liqueur
1/2 oz Orange vodka
1/2 oz Lemon juice
1 oz Orange juice
3 dash Orange bitters
1 fresh Egg (white and yolk)

How to make

Serve in a martini glass

Method

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of mini Jaffa Cake.
  3. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

History

A sweet, dessert-style cocktail.

McVitie's Jaffa Cakes consist of a sponge base with a tangy orange jelly center, all coated in dark chocolate. In 1991, these snacks successfully appealed against a classification by UK Customs & Excise that would have deemed them chocolate biscuits. Unlike cakes, biscuits were categorized as luxuries and therefore subject to Value Added Tax.
