Ingredients
12 fresh Green grapes (seedless)
2 1/2 oz Reposado tequila
1/2 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
3 dash Orange bitters
How to make
Serve in a martini glass
Prepare
- 1 Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
- 2 Prepare white/green grapes for garnish.
Method
- 3 MUDDLE grapes in base of shaker.
- 4 Add other ingredients.
- 5 SHAKE with ice.
- 6 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
Garnish
- 7 Garnish with grapes.
History
Grapes combine surprisingly well with tequila.
This cocktail was created in 2003 by Shelim Islam at GE Club in London, England. The name, pronounced 'Hal-is-co', is taken from the Mexican state that is the origin of both Tequila town and the spirit itself.
