History

A dry, bitter apéritif-style riff on the classic French 75. Consider adding more sparkling wine than the recipe or a spoonful of sugar syrup.

This cocktail was created in 2017 by Regis Laacher at Kremlin in Paris, France. He states that his cocktail is "Basically, a twist of the classic French 75. By adding Lillet Rouge and Suze without simple syrup, you make the drink bitter and dry, the perfect appetizer to start a night out or to kick a party." Additional history and variations of the French 75 are available elsewhere.
