History

With London dry gin, this is good, but better with old tom gin's character and richness. As the name implies, lemon leads with botanical and herbal notes from gin and monastic liqueur.

This is adapted from a cocktail named "The Lemony Snicket Cocktail," which was created in 2003 by Ted "Dr. Cocktail" Haigh. Haigh named his drink after the author of the A Series of Unfortunate Events children's books, following his commission as graphic designer for the movie adaptation. Ted's original, stronger recipe includes: 75ml (2½oz) Gin 15ml (½oz) Lemon juice 15ml (½oz) Limoncello liqueur 15ml (½oz) Yellow Chartreuse
