History

A classic frozen Daiquiri generously enhanced with maraschino cherry.

This cocktail was one of two that won a Havana Club Daiquiri competition in 2002. It is named in honor of Girolamo Luxardo, the creator of Luxardo Maraschino liqueur. Lux, meaning 'light' in Latin, is also part of the name.
