History
Citrus fresh and refreshing, not at all sweet.
This drink is adapted from a recipe found in Victor Bergeron's 1972 Trader Vic's Bartender's Guide (Revised Edition). Bergeron stated, "I created this drink a thousand years ago. It's easy and good." MAHUKONA 2 dashes Angostura bitters 1 dash rock candy syrup ½ ounce lemon juice ½ slice pineapple ½ ounce triple sec 1 ounce light Puerto Rican rum Blend this mixture with ½ scoop of shaved ice in an electric drink mixer. Pour the resulting concoction into a 10-ounce pilsener glass that has been filled halfway with shaved ice. Garnish with fresh mint and a fruit stick.
