Flavour profile

History

Gin botanicals and Chartreuse's complex herbal notes are bolstered by rosemary. Spirituous and lightly sweet, best enjoyed after dinner.

This drink is an adaptation, with each ingredient's volume reduced by 25% from the original, created in 1999 by Philip Jeffrey at the Great Eastern Hotel, London, England. It is named after King Henry VIII's warship, which sank in 1545 during a battle with the French fleet and is now displayed in Portsmouth.
