History
Aromatic blend of fruit and floral notes.
This cocktail is adapted from a 2002 recipe by Wayne Collins in London, England. At the time, Wayne was representing Plymouth Gin, which influenced his choice of spirit for the drink and subsequently its name. Plymouth Gin itself is named after and produced in the port city of Plymouth in Devon. The first permanent English settlers in New England, the pilgrims, set sail from Plymouth in 1620 on the Mayflower and the Speedwell. The Speedwell proved unseaworthy and was abandoned, but after a challenging two-month journey, the Mayflower reached Cape Cod in November 1620. They named their landing spot Plymouth Harbor and settled there on December 16th, 1620.
