History
Slightly bitter, this classic aperitivo is light and palate cleansing. Best with equal parts Nardini Rosso, Nardini Rabarbaro and soda.
This drink is traditionally made with equal parts Nardini Rosso, Nardini Rabarbaro, and soda water. Its origins trace back to the Grapperia Nardini on the Ponte Vecchio, where Nardini Rosso was first mixed with soda water in the 1920s. In the 1970s, a patron experimented with Nardini Rosso and a dash of Nardini’s rhubarb liqueur. This combination gained popularity, with the dash increasing over time until the mixture became equal parts Nardini Rosso and Rabarbaro.
