Ingredients

1 2/3 oz Blanco tequila
1/2 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
1/6 oz Triple sec
1/6 oz Acidic mixer
4 drop Margarita Bitters

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

History

This translucent margarita uses an acid mixture instead of lime juice. This allows the cocktail to be batched and packaged, while being crystal clear.

This cocktail was created in 2019 by Deano Moncrieffe at his bar, Hacha, located in London, England.
