Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Maraschino liqueur
1 oz Dry vermouth
1/12 oz Absinthe

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 Garnish with maraschino cherry.

Adapted from Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book, the "Moonshine Cocktail" is intended for (6 people) and calls for "3 Glasses Gin", "2 Glasses French Vermouth", and "1 Glass Maraschino". A drop of Absinthe Bitters should be added before shaking.
