Ingredients

1 1/3 oz Single malt Scotch whisky
5/6 oz Rosso/sweet vermouth
1/3 oz Bénédictine D.O.M.
2 dash Creole bitters
1 dash Absinthe
1/6 oz Chilled water

How to make

Serve in a nick & nora glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a NICK & NORA GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

A Bobby Burns using single malt Scotch whisky, and it is all the more excellent for it.

Richard Elgar, a fellow Discerning Drinker, introduced us to the Mr. Burns. Mr Charles Montgomery Burns is a character featured in The Simpsons television series, known as the proprietor of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and thus the employer of Homer Simpson. Mr Burns is characterized as avaricious, malevolent, and villainous, and the character is recognized for his distinctive catchphrase, "Excellent", which he utters slowly and menacingly while steepling his fingers.
