History
The Perfume Daiquirí, winner of the Argentinean Bacardí Legacy competition in 2015, was created by Ezequiel Rodríguez at Victoria Brown Bar in Buenos Aires. This cocktail draws inspiration from the 1920s and the notable women of that era. During Prohibition, Cuba became a coveted destination for writers, Hollywood stars, and adventurers, offering skilled cantineros, exotic ingredients, and a new, lighter style of rum: Bacardí Carta Blanca. This rum was central to iconic cocktails like the Daiquirí, Mojito, and Presidente. La Familia Bacardí's legendary parties in La Habana, often featuring endless rounds of Daiquirís, were attended by singular guests such as Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, and Mary Pickford. These women, who inspired immense passion, embodied the elegance of the time, filling rooms with their presence and their fragrant perfume.
