History
The sweet herbal punch familiar from the Vieux Carré is given extra life and fresh vitality by the addition of tequila, with halved doses of cognac and bourbon making way for it. Plaza Antigua is Spanish for Old Square, while Vieux Carré is French for Old Square. Añejo tequila was first tried as the sole base spirit, but this strayed too far from the recognisable Vieux Carré.
