Ingredients

2 oz Calvados apple brandy
1 oz Red quinquina e.g. Dubonnet, Byrrh
1 oz Rosso/sweet vermouth

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Vic's improved Princess Mary's Pride cocktail.

Victor J. Bergeron published this recipe in his 1972 revised edition of Trader Vic's Bartender's Guide. PRINCESS PRIDE COCKTAIL. 1 ounce calvados ½ ounce Dubonnet ½ ounce Italian vermouth Shake with ice cubes. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
