History

A good fruity thirst quencher, this long drink is not bad.

The year 2003 saw the discovery of this drink at Booly Mardy's in Glasgow, Scotland. Those familiar with cocktails will recognize the Tahitian phrase Mai Tai - Roa Ae, which translates to 'out of this world - the best'. This phrase is the origin of the Mai Tai's name, with the cocktail itself meaning simply 'the best'.
