Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Maraschino liqueur
1/3 oz Pink grapefruit juice
1/3 oz Chilled water

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of mint sprigs.

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 Garnish with mint sprigs bouquet.

History

Rich floral maraschino liqueur is balanced by grapefruit's citrus bitterness.

Harry Craddock's 1930 publication, The Savoy Cocktail Book, offers the basis for this drink. SEVENTH HEAVEN COCKTAIL. (No.2) 1 Tablespoonful Grape Juice. ¼ Maraschino. ¾ Dry Gin. Stir well and place a sprig of green Mint on top.
