Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Gin
1 1/2 oz Dry vermouth
1/4 oz Maraschino liqueur
2 dash Orange bitters

Serve in a martini glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 Garnish with maraschino cherry.

Harry Craddock's 1930 book, The Savoy Cocktail Book, offers the following recipe for the Silver Cocktail: "SILVER COCKTAIL. 2 Dashes Maraschino. 2 Dashes Orange Bitters. ½ French Vermouth. ½ Dry Gin. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass."
