Ingredients

10 fresh Mint leaves
2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Apricot liqueur
1 oz Lemon juice
1/2 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon slice wheel.

Method

  1. 3 Gently MUDDLE mint in base of shaker (just to bruise).
  2. 4 Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  3. 5 FINE STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.

Garnish

  1. 6 Garnish with lemon slice.
  2. 7 Serve with a straw.

History

Refreshing notes of lemon and mint with gin and apricot.

This is an adaptation of a drink created in the early 1930s. It is named after Washington Irving's novel and its depiction of an enchanted valley populated by ghosts, goblins, and a headless horseman.
