History

Delicately smoky and almost meaty; serve with cured meat. A great aperitif cocktail.

Dale DeGroff, known as King Cocktail, created the original recipe in New York City, USA, in 2016. The recipe is provided courtesy of gazregan.com. Dale's original specifications were: 1½ oz Chase English Oak Smoked Vodka, ½ oz Tanqueray No. TEN Gin, ¼ oz La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Dry Vermouth, and 1 dash Bitter Truth's Jerry Thomas Own Decanter Bitters. He preferred to garnish with a small strip of cured smoked pork on a skewer. Additional details regarding the background of Bond's Vesper can be found on our Vesper cocktail page.
