1 oz Light white rum
5/6 oz Gin
1/2 oz Lemon juice
1/6 oz Grenadine syrup
1/6 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
How to make
Serve in a coupe glass
Prepare
- 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
- 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.
Method
- 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
- 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

- 5 EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book also contains the Stanley Cocktail, a mix of 1/6 lemon juice, 1/6 grenadine, 1/3 gin, and 1/3 rum, to be shaken and strained into a cocktail glass.
