History
Mezcal and blood orange juice are complemented by sweet cinnamon syrup and clove-rich falernum.
Velvet Falernum was employed instead of Fernet Vallet; the resulting drink was good. In May 2022, a splash of lime juice was added, following a comment from Ulysses Grand. Mezcal is distilled from agave plants, which fall under the category of 'Succulents.' These are plants with thickened, fleshy parts that store water, suitable for arid climates. This characteristic, combined with blood orange juice, inspired the cocktail's name.
