Ingredients

1 1/3 oz Chartreuse Green
3 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
1/2 oz Lime juice
6 drop Daiquiri bitters
3 drop Saline solution 4:1

How to make

Serve in a collins glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COLLINS GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lime wedge and mint sprigs.

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

  1. 5 Garnish with lime wedge and mint sprigs bouquet.

History

Herbal Chartreuse meets tropical fruit with pineapple and lime.

The Swampwater cocktail emerged in the 1970s, appearing in cocktail literature of that era. Brian F. Rea's 1976 publication, Brian's Booze Guide, is one such early mention. SWAMPWATER Build in a Mason jar filled with ice cubes. 1½ ounces Green Chartreuse Fill with pineapple juice. Add a wedge of lime. It is noted that the empty jar can be repurposed for Wasserman tests.
