History

A spirit-forward, stirred drink reminiscent of a Manhattan or Brooklyn. Features rye whiskey, complex aromatised wine, and apricot brandy for fruity richness. Ideal for late-night enjoyment.

This Manhattan is the house special from the opening menu of the Clover Club bar, located in Brooklyn's Carrol Gardens, a neighborhood adjacent to Park Slope. The 6:2:1 ratio is attributed to G. M. Genovese, a fellow Discerning Drinker, in November 2023. The original specification was 75ml (1½oz) rye whiskey, 22.5ml (¾oz) Punt E Mes, 10ml (⅓oz) apricot brandy, and 1 dash aromatic bitters.
