History
A tiki-inspired variation on the classic Adonis with chocolate orange liqueur. (Consider splitting the sherry to equal parts fino and amontillado if too rich.)
Jeff "Beachbum" Berry created this drink in 2015 at his Latitude 29 bar in New Orleans, USA. It is named in tribute to David Wondrich, who reputedly was the first person to request a sherry cocktail at Latitude 29. The prefix "USS," meaning "United States Ship," is used to identify a commissioned ship of the United States Navy.
